SPIRITS RISE

Here, there, everywhere
magnetic forces from the earth
draw us down to them
as waters to a well.

The spirit part of of everything
lingers, liquid on the landscape,
thin as a whispered word, then
air dispersing upward, hurled.

This is hallowed ground
breaking open just tonight
setting things unseen to flight
wherever wish has wants.

Be sure of what you call to now
for it might answering come.
There's no veil between the worlds
when spirit and matter are one.
