REMEMBERING TOSHI AND PETE SEEGER

Free concert, wonderful environmental educators and potluck from the New York Friends of Clearwater
Sunday September 16th at the Lower East Side Ecology Center (Environmental Learning Center and Offices)
East River Park Promenade, at Grand Street, New York, New York.

Listening
Hat that speaks for itself.

I watched bees from a nearby bench.
They were many and so tiny I doubt you can see them

Jenny Hurwitz with Talbot and Sami-Rose Katz
A beautiful text about the current situation read first...
 Singer-Songwriting Family!
Jenny performed a gorgeous piece she wrote:
"Her Name is Maria" about a child separated from Mother...
 Sami Rose was just great.
and, oh-it was a sad lament.
Talbot and Sami-Rose did a charmingly amusing Duet on a song about 'Me', which may have been the title. Forgot to ask.
He enjoyed it.
One more hat worth a mention.

 Late in the day now...

I talked a good deal with Beth K. Lamont, who is carrying the legacy of her husband forward...
...and I'm hoping to get a copy of her book.

Late in the day, while final announcements and packing up had begun,  I wandered back to the water park just behind the Ecological center, and found others playing there as well.
