7 p.m.
Sun set reflected to the East--Cheers, claps and hoots from the neighborhood rise up thanking essential workers--Church bells ring out--then my doorbell for dharma brother Alex Godin. He climbed the three flights to drop off a cell phone set up just to allow me to join in Zooms from NY Zen Center for Contemplative Care !!! Later he will email instructions. My heart is still beating fast from the excitement of that simultaneous confluence of events.

3 a.m.
Conscious of the creaking floor boards under my feet, I'm still paying attention to what others in apartments below, above and next door might hear. This, despite that no one is home in any of them. The newbies fled in late January and early February. Funny how my crowded brain repeats what it has stored, recalling the past; manifesting what was and is no more. Thinking is persistent and I'm thoroughly lulled by the ease of just letting thoughts lead me hither and yon.
Yesterday
Tibet house webcast from Menla in the Catskills with Jai Dev Singh in California. I meditated with them on line.

Have you noticed the sluggish Internet?
We have overloaded the internet. So many at home under lock down has produced a constant and extraordinary usage. I've been thinking about the possibility of losing this connection entirely. Once upon a time, I had no connection. Perhaps that day will come again.

Prepared?
