On October 12th, 1492
Christopher Columbus landed on an island in what is now the Bahamas.
That's how America began.
I'm of a mind to move to another era in time
'cause times are rough and I am weary.

Up A Lazy River

Shine On Harvest Moon

I Ain't Got Nobody

Dream A Little Dream

1947
A fragment of the film
"New Orleans"
Directed by Arthur Lubin
Starring
Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday
This is the saddest part of the film because everybody is obliged
to leave the city they learned to call home
"Goodbye To Storyville"

Weary? Know just how you feel. Take care and know that I am thinking of you and wishing you well.

What can I say but thank you for keeping me company today. Day is done now, and I'm going out to watch the moon rise up over the East River since full moon Wednesday has predicted (oh no!) RAIN, and I don't want to miss the magic of the hunters feast even if I'm not a hunter anymore.

We are all together under this ol' fat moon! Sleep tight :)

Hey ho Nancy--I guess you were referring to my "paper moon" cut out from an old painting--and I think you meant to share this Frank Sinatra rendition-http://youtu.be/YM-0US4VPsQ. So I want to offer this charming animation with James Taylor doing that song-http://youtu.be/qxDOFijTpR8 . And I too love the O'Neils in the film "Paper Moon"-http://youtu.be/W-xFgd_NRwQ but I also love "Moonstruck" when it comes to moon films-
http://youtu.be/FtvJexR4iVg and that's probably enough moons for everyone tonight--Nite Nite all you lovelies.
