World Muse Wednesday ARTIFICIALLY 'INTELLIGENT' APPLICATIONS

World Muse

Lately I've been feeling
way out of the spinning loop of advancing technologies,
and unwilling to play catch up.  It sometimes seems,
the more  I do, the less gets done--The newest twist
is just another clever toy--nothing replaces presence.

"Artificial Intelligence"

The whole film-who knows for how long.  I have mixed feelings about
this one.  I love the premise more than the execution.
Ultimately, I find it creepy--dishonest at some level I can't define.
If you decide to watch it, do comment.  I'm curious.

mixed feelings. really. i am going to lose my mind soon. life is turning into a science fiction film.

i have always been into science and technology. i don't buy all the new stuff but i like to keep up with everything to be able to understand the thinking of the younger generations. i remember, growing up, that a man on the moon was considered science fiction. i don't believe you can begin to understand the opinions of others unless you are up to date on everything (which is almost impossible). i try hard. i love Robin and Ellen and am still laughing. i do remember seeing the A.I. film when it came out and thought it was a bit creepy. i try hard not to be like my mom who couldn't understand why it was necessary to have a computer. some of this stuff might not be necessary but it sure does open up the mind to new things. i never would have met you and all my wonderful blogging friends without the computer. sorry i got so wordy. i couldn't help myself.

Hey-Speaking of SF becoming Science Facts (and they do, don't they)--perhaps we could plan on moving to this Spring like planet if the time machine gets invented in time for our old old age. Stitching away in the sun all the rest of our days--

Word away dear Deanna. Your thoughts are always welcome here.

ha. another planet for us to screw up. and we would do that. it seems to be inevitable as we evolve and create.

Just back for a last look at today--so, Deanna--a sad fate for the human race! Well, perhaps.

i don't see it as a 'sad' fate. just as 'fate'. there's nothing sad about it to me. i'll leave it at that for now.
