STORM BREAK









Amazed the birds can hear themselves over the traffic
That we can hear ourselves think and one another speak
That this vegetation thrives despite the din
Taking it all in, making oxygen


All quivers in the sudden wind
Birdsong abruptly silences
I snap one last shot


Hurry home
Heartbeat quickened
Helplessly happy

whew... agreed. that is quite an uproar. I'm somewhere between you and Velma when it comes to noise... leaf blowers are a big, big pain in the ass around here
