CUSTOMS

Just Foolin' Around
My dad in Chinese pajamas-before he was my dad-cutting up with friends and a relative or two sometime in the late thirties on some beach somewhere. "The custom of setting aside a day for the playing of harmless pranks upon one's neighbor is recognized by many cultures around the world, and dates far back into history."  Very interesting indeed if you care to do some more reading,
see link at bottom.

Meanwhile

Sometimes
You can fool all of the people, sometimes you can't.
Sometimes the fool is you, sometimes it's them.
Sometimes it's me!

1392
"Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales contains the first recorded association between 1 April and foolishness."
