MARIE HOWE

Wednesday Evening May 24th at the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care. After Sitting, former New York poet laureate Marie Howe reads from "Magdalene"
(She is at the center between Koshin Paley Ellison and  Robert Chodo Campbell)
Here's the man Chodo introduced to me as Billy Bird on the right.
The line was long but Marie was generous and spent the next hour talking and listening and signing books.
Herein she reads from a variety of her work including several from "Magdalene" during Boston Universities Theopoetics Conference, March 2016. She speaks about the role of spirituality and imagination in her work. An acclaimed poet, she is the author of four poetry collections: The Good Thief (1988), What the Living Do (1997), and The Kingdom of Ordinary Time (2008) and "Magdalene".
(one hour and seventeen minutes)
