Wordpress has a spam filter that catches most of it (app 20-40 messages per week that I screen & delete) + I screen all comments before they are published, not as friendly an interface but less stressful
Thanks Mo--I just changed my comment setting to 'Approval Always.
The trolls come and go ... I turn on moderation as needed, but it does slow the legitimate comments so I turn it back off asap
i'm not even sure what spam is. other than someone i don't know.
