People All over the World flocked to their balconies and windows at 7p.m. clapping to thank the staff for their help during the coronavirus pandemic. It's been happening in my neighborhood too.

We had stayed out of the war, which had been going on in Europe for three years, but when Germany started attacking American merchant ships and conspiring with Mexico, President Woodrow Wilson decided it was time to act. He asked Congress for a declaration of war on April 2, it passed almost unanimously, and war was declared four days later."

Manhattan looking East from Second Avenue. Full moon? No, it will not be completely full until the 8th-Passover 'May the angel of death Pass over us all'. This afternoon, my energy slumped. I slipped onto a compelling sadness a bit too deep. Keep going. Just doing what needed to be done including a short trip for some needed items released me before self-pity took over. 11:00 p.m. This indigo sky is brilliant, beautiful and encouraging.

looking up East on another uncertain lock-down day. At noon looking up Northward, then down into the church schoolyard empty of children and in that alley between buildings the demanding peeps of newborn pigeons pierce through profound silence.

who are at greatest risk
vulnerable and scared
isolated and lonely,
and for those heroes
leading on the front lines
who keep us alive and fed.Bless us with strength.
Source of Life:
Throughout history
our people has faced plagues,
forced expulsions, slavery,
exile and extermination.
We have walked in narrow places
wandered many deserts
Sustain us now,Bless us with strength.
Source of Love:
We celebrate our fortitude
our shared history
the traditions which
have gifted us the DNA,
spiritual armor
to overcome
this modern imprisonment.

We give thanks for the gifts
