ALL MY GURUS

Guru Purnima
गुरु पूर्णिमा

A festival traditionally celebrated by
Hindus and Buddhists.
On this day, disciples offer puja (worship) or pay respect to their Guru (Spiritual Guide). It falls on the day of full moon, Purnima, in the month of Ashadh (June–July) of the Shaka Samvat.

Traditionally the festival is celebrated by Buddhists in the honor the lord Buddha who gave His first sermon on this day at Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh, India.

In essence, this day is to remember, and honor all teachers and guides along the path of your life to date.
I have had so very many, that none  can hold my allegiance exclusively because they all do.

That's been my path so far, and it has crossed many paths where I met, and spent time with other travelers who illuminated the way, brought comfort, solace, wisdom and humor to share.

Who has not been my teacher, my guide?

All creatures, all landscapes, all literature and art, the whole of human history from the first dividing cell, to the last thought, have informed me.

All the friends, yes, and even the enemies,
have shown me ways to go on going on.

All have been, and continue to be
the lights that lead me.

Here is one fellow traveler, and guide, who found his satguru
-one who will see you through to the end-
in the tumultuous decade of the seventies.
"One Track Heart"

All praise to the multiverse of interdependant relationship,
and my undying gratitude.
