TUESDAY

9.15.2020 The best news is that Grace Forest is back on the Hill as of yesterday https://windthread.typepad.com/windthread/2020/09/my-entry-13.html and was back again todday https://windthread.typepad.com/windthread/2020/09/my-entry-15.html Meanwhile I woke early to phone Massachusetts wishing my dear friend Happy Birthday
Spent time on Face book reading news of the world and posting about fires and potential floods, skipping most of the Administration posts and horrified by the presidents hubris, usery and dangerous intentions.
Then had a long nap to 3p.m. Rising to check the calendar in case I'd lost track of days.
I've gotten lonely actually, but I fill in with the virtual and time passes and memory brings longing https://www.blogger.com/blog/post/edit/3365260245927126723/8103246041710081231?hl=en

“Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.”
Mark Twain

I am in need of kindness. My chronic digestive condition has gotten a grip on my equanimity and I've been under the weather through Saturday.

Calmer now with over the counter medication and stomach soothing tea.

Sunday
August 2nd
semi-sleepless night
6 a.m. Looking East
 77 degrees, humid, rain expected.
Looking West
Spent the last hour in tedious monthly bill paying preparation. Then made watery white basmati rice for breakfast. I'm out of 'cream of rice' and it's actually hard to find, especially these pandemic days (((sigh))). The push to open up has resulted in a surge of positive cases beginning to be evident. I knew it was wrong, but unfortunately the politicians are not yet willing to go into lock-down. I am already in virtual lock down and will only go out for food, post office and bank.

REALLY REAL HOT

Monday
July 27th 2020
7:30 p.m.

Feels like 95 degrees now and I spent the day in bed. A/C is working, but I'm 'under the weather' weary.
PBS News Hour

Tuesday
July 28th
Early Morning
Temperatures reached 96 by noon and felt like 100 +
I stayed locked in with the Air conditioning working well at 77 degrees energy saver setting. Had a lovely phone conversation with my dear Massachusetts friends, did simple maintenance chores and very little else.
7:30 p.m.
Much more tolerable and with a nice breeze
 "Lift Every Voice and Sing"
Often called “The Black National Anthem”, was written as a poem by NAACP leader James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938) and then set to music by his brother John Rosamond Johnson (1873-1954) in 1899.

Dear Sir-Since you failed at everything else, you've decided to get back to building that wall, destroying one more beautiful place. Division and destruction are your true talents. I pity you.
