Thursday Mammal Muse LAVENDER, HEMP and LEMON BALM

Mammal Muse
Collage "Forever" by N.A.

1.
Lavender, Hemp, and Lemon balm

Lavender, Hemp, and Lemon balm
there's the charm:
 braids are made,
a moment 's frozen.
It's warm inside suspended time.

A waking dream, what isn't seen,
what can't be cloven:
whole cloth well woven.

"Whats mine is thine and thee is mine,"
the warp said to the woof.
Now, babe is cradled, soup ladled
from every pot, and every time.

A waking dream, what isn't seen,
what can't be cloven:
whole cloth well woven.

2.
Snail Mail Delivers A Gift
from Deanna
Linen Silk - Velvet Silk - Habotai Silk

Inspired me to dust off some Acrylics
with thoughts of a banner scarf to come
My  cluttered studio in half light,
awaiting the wandering worker,
but for tonight,  an old tune,
  'parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme",
Sleep, and dream.

3.
"The Elfin Knight"
 A traditional Scottish folk ballad
of which there are many versions, all dealing with supernatural occurrences,
and the commission to perform impossible tasks.
This version is from the artist Joel Frederiksen.

He says:
Are you going to Nottingham fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there;
For once she was a true-love of mine.

Tell her to make me a cambric shirt,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
Without any seam or needlework
For once she was a true-love of mine.

Tell her to wash it in yonder well,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
Where never spring-water nor rain ever fell
For once she was a true-love of mine.

Tell her to dry it on yonder thorn,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
Which never bore blossom since Adam was born
For once she was a true-love of mine.

She says:

Now he has asked me questions three,
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
I hope he will answer as many for me;
For once he was a true-love of mine

She then goes on to to pose a challenging task:
that he find her a house between the ocean and land
to plow with an oxen horn, and  build her a garden on.

You can easily guess the ending: One thing led to another.
You could write your own version.

But first, here is the best version ever, made more sweet
because it took place in my back yard!
Thank You Deanna

I'm at the computer late into the evening as usual-but-This is what I get when I copy pasted the address you left Deanna. It would be better to list the URL and name of what you are referring to, at least for the audience that reads the comment portion of my posts. I'm guessing you sent another video of the song (Simon and Garfunkel probably-I'm guessing)--I chose to post the oldest version because I thought it would be interesting--as we are all interested in the origin of things, right?
