Maybe the biographical details might enhance him for those who didn't become fans of the 1930s and 40s movies, which I love to this day. My parents watched ;Whats My Line' and his other show too, and then I thought it was all boring, but now I see the late fifties into early sixties (that last clip was 1967) in historical/political/cultural perspective (The 1960's of rock and roll, race riots and Woodstock Nation was already bubbling to the surface). Groucho was a sort of rebel, poking fun at the norms in so many ways. The fifties, as Lilly Tomlin once quipped, were "coitus interrupted" (or something to that effect) referring to that repressive, button down shirted, stultifying atmosphere-that "Father Knows Best" expectation, when most of us didn't know any families like that.
