SCALING DOWN and LIGHTENING UP

A PREVIEW
This is a fragment of The Sistene Chapel
Stay Tuned
Sunday a self-guided Virtual Tour!

SCALING DOWN

The Goal

deal with this
and this
this, and more.
One big bag full has been taken down three flights,
wheeled a few block North and given to the Salvation Army.
 One bag at a time.
One day after another
One for Goodwill next,
One for Housing Works after that.
One for the Opera Thrift, and one for Cause for Paws,
then one for Vintage, and in rotation till it's done,
till I have only what I love and need.

VISIT TO PATCHIN PLACE

Friday
A private gated cull-d'-sac in the West Village,
therefore, below, a surprising sight.

Previously all small homes, then converted to small apartments for full time residents,
amongst them some of the elite of literature and letters.

Now primarily rentals as psychotherapists home-offices,
it has a rich, and fascinating

SUDDENLY

looking South
 looking North
where I was headed
The rain caught me at about 10th Street, I ran under a construction scaffold to throw on my poncho.  By 14th Street,
it had stopped, and turning East
near Fifth Avenue, a girl and her dog
mutely begging
"I need help" the sign reads
Further on lots more kids like her, regulars, they appear around 5PM and scatter themselves across 14th Street to Third Avenue.

HOME
Having a media glut under my own blue-sky ceiling
Looking at Cally's amazing photos, while listening to Kraftwork on the radio with the TV playing low as well--an interesting mix.

NEXT

Saturday in the garden, then an afternoon Movie
and supper with new friends nearby the theater.

UNFORSEEN
As fate would have it
this morning I was ill, nothing serious, but, plans were canceled , the prepaid ticket wasted and the day spent bedded down.  Tomorrow is another day.

i guess we're all in cleaning mode. here in Austin, the Salvation Army, and several other charities will come by with a truck to pick up what you have to give away. you might inquire to make it easier on yourself.
