"THINK NOT"

(for Grace)

Think not that I am miserable, just a bit invisible,
viewing things from a distance.  In this instance,
when I shot the following photo of this tree
in the Private Park called 'Gramarcy',
with it's lock and key,
too steep for  me.
The blur and perspective are meant to show that I relate to that park as out-of-reach.  Below, for contrast, Trader Joe's checkout plain and simple,
and a Mural at the exit/entrance seen as contemporary nostalgia.
Added apples, avocado, lemon, red onion
and garlic to the bowl.
Hung a translucent shawl I never wear, as a kitchen curtain.  Everyday magic.
Tomorrow's delicious plan:
I've already made lemon and orange vodka Supreme, and hot jalapeno-cranberry-orange compote for gifts.  Now cookies!
Found a few twigs of pine for Buddha.
"What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are small maters
compared to what lies within us/"
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~
Ten more days till Solstice Eve.
I'm ready with this prayer flag box,
it's sacred things within.
