MASSACHUSETTS MOMENTS

Continued from...
"Flowering"

Some days the sky was blue...
...then a day white with cloud cover.
One morning a slight pink glow...
...or gray as a storm approached.
Then the sun returned.

"In the life of each of us, I said to myself, there is a place remote and islanded, and given to endless regret or secret happiness; we are each the uncompanioned hermit and recluse of an hour or a day; we understand our fellows of the cell to whatever age of history they may belong."

Each day the gardener performed her rounds...
...vigilant against the dreaded scarlet lily beetle.
Meanwhile inside, Cow characters danced
while wooden Cardinals watched.
A moth wanted entrance
but was denied.
The door at the bottom of the stairs
reflected a parlor scene...
...then became a frame for the front garden.

Later, A ginger cat and the dear dog, lounging but alert.
Three more ginger cats downstairs:
1.
 2.
 3.
Upstairs
Three black cats...
...plus one calico
almost disappeared in sunlight,
and one very shy one
with a room of her own.

Laundry was hung upon the line.
Every day...
...another pattern.
~*~

A path appeared...
Lead me to a shady spot...
...where jade Buddha
meditated.

Black Bear-headed for the bird feeder.
The same black bear that visits every Spring, or perhaps one of her grown cubs.

The Scanlon/Henry Clan
Aunt (Jenny) and her dog (Bruno), Mother (Leone) and Daughter (Rachel), Husband (Tim) and the most delightful son (Justin)...
posed patiently...
...after lunch.
*
Husband (Richard) and cousin (Roger)
returned from an errand
*
Our wounded friend (Nina)
 *
Sasha, an out door ginger cat
sunbathed with the iron rabbits.

Portrait:
Deeply soulful dog, Bruno.

Another path appeared...
...and lead to a road.

The photographer...

...and where she slept one blissful week.
