Feather Muse Friday FIRST FEATHER PATCH ALMOST...

Feather Muse
Signature

Doodling
A way to loosen up
Detail 1
"Oh, but if there was rest, oh..."
Detail 2
"Ode to oak"

Cozy Studio
This is where I worked
up at the top of my friends three story house
surrounded by ancient hemlocks
It's wood paneled like a ships cabin
with a skylight to gaze on moon and stars

Almost Done
Note the flaw in the orange Buddha
(a slipped stitch for spirit to enter)
I'll stitch the square to a square backing
eliminate the lower olive green part-circle
perhaps add an echo-a rainbow-a void-or an eye there
Then
Send it flying away

Something New Begun
More of that idea developing
This material is far too porous for a stitch, so
I might paint with dye, stitch on to backing cloth
allow evolution
&
A Scarf In Process
Stenciled oak leaves on
cumin and oak dyed habatai silk
Same thing with true color showing in better light

Tra La- Hey ho
a stitching I will go

These are lovely. Your feather is beautiful, the drawings....I really need to learn to doodle too. So much to take in, never thought to use cumin as a dye, I will have to try it sometime.
