Great women are grown older like us, still beautiful, and still "Singing For Our Lives" as they did when I first encountered them in the Seventies.
In 2004 a million people marched in Washington DC for a woman's right to choose. Holly Near performs this song, featuring footage from the March for Women's Lives.
Here, in February of 2013, she gives us a signature sharp, intelligent a-capella rant in "A Planet Called Home" with a spirited promise.

Wednesday's thought:
When you're feeling down and out, lift up your voice and shout out!

yup..she refers to the soul as higher self of course...and those selves, I think, sometimes resceed, then rise up now and then in each person. In any case...that second song is a great rant.
