WORSHIP

Like the lilies of the field
Saturday
I toiled not.
However, I did virtually attend the many rallies and protests here on my laptop, while sipping homemade lemonade in the adequate cool of my third floor walk up, thanks to my new Air Conditioner, fully aware and grateful for my good fortune and privilege of the moment:

Farewell June.

Sunday

Hello July
Hope the electrical grid holds up through this heat wave.
Hope the powers that be have a spontaneous awakening.
Hope the dear children survive and are freed to heal.
Hope the parents prevail and find sanctuary.

STORMS

Storm Watch
Teddy sat by the front window with his flashlight all night
It came and went with lightning and thunder
Then a new day dawned
HOT
Looking up at Iron work on top of buildings
Victorian decor once dominated Manhattan
DNC on TV
Bill For Hillary
He's a charmer all right, and still a great speaker.
Nice to see intelligent glitz again. You may be surprised, even outraged, but I've forgiven him his marital missteps. Policy, performance and capacity to survive are what matters.
The alternative is too terrible.
I just don't think the time is right for a third party play.
I still love Bernie and that's not gonna' change.

COO and CHORTLE

Pigeons on the windowsill:
"Wake up-Wake up"
"Not yet-Not yet"
"It's already too bright out there."
 ~*~

We're having a heat wave.
Last night my neighbor and I walked to the river searching for a breeze we couldn't find,
yet the flowers didn't seem to mind.
